Fire hose basketball? |
I have enjoyed going to day camp with Porter and Morgan and this year was Harrison's first time. The weather was perfect. I stayed with Harris from 8:00 to 3:00, then stayed with Morgan til 5:00. I appreciate all the volunteers. It was a blast!
This year's theme was "Superheroes".
This trailer is designed to teach about how to handle a house fire. It filled with "smoke" so we went into the other room. We touched the door to feel the heat from the fire on the other side. |
Then we escaped through the window. Well, the adults escaped through the door rather than risk an embarrassing entrapment. |
Making rocks into superheroes. |
The obstacle course is one of the favorites. |
Keeping that hat on while under the net was a heroic deal. |
Getting some instruction. |
He's got it down now. |
One of the two southpaws in the group. |
Learning how to properly fold a flag. |
I loved this problem-solving activity. |
Work together so that the ball goes through the tubes faster than the other team. |
This team got it every time. |
This was a suggestion by one of the leaders. |
Discussing the whys and hows. |
Making glow-in-the-dark slime. |
This stage was really disgusting. |
Already experienced with a BB gun. |
Officer Puttnam made a reenactment of an actual crime scene from a decade ago. Most parents thought this was too graphic. I thought it was another good problem-solving opportunity. |
This kid added a lot of fun to the day. |
Slime-stache. |
Morgan and his very good friend from our neighborhood. |
He was very fast at the routine of safety on, open/close the chamber, pump the air, safety off, and shoot. |
This is one of Morgan's favorites. |
He's never owned a real bow yet. |
Obstacle course nightmare. |
Morgan got the second fastest time on this challenge. |
Such great boys. |
